IQAC INITIATED WEBINAR ON MIGRANT WORKERS BY SHRI K S SHARMA SIR
JSS’s Sakri Law College has organized one day Webinar on “Identified Gaps in Existing Legal and Policy Framework for Protection of Migrant Workers”. On 19th October, 2020. Dr. K.S. Sharma Retired Principle of JSS Sakri Law College, [Founder President of Karnataka State Government., Daily Wage Employees Federation Hubli] was resource person and he addressed about the position and condition of workers during Pandemic. He further shared his views on why the existing labour welfare laws failed to address the situation faced by the labourers, During the Covid 19, he further added that near about 400 million labourers suffered with social and economic insecurity. From 1945 to 2020 labour laws were failed to address the problems of the labour Welcome speech was given by Principle Dr. Rupa Ingalahalli, Prof. Poornima Kurdikeri has given introduction of resource person, Smt. Sharanya managed Question and Answer session, Vote of thanks was given by organizer of the event Prof. Babulal Dargad and programme was hosted by Smt. Geetanjali Kamat. All the faculty members, Administrative Staff and 62 students were participated in the programme.
